Caitlin Clark sets WNBA career record for points, assists combo after just 42 games image

There's no one in WNBA history like Caitlin Clark.

That's anecdotally true, sure, but it's also increasingly true by the stats, too.

On Tuesday night, Clark surpassed the marks of 25 points and 10 assists for the sixth time in her career. That's a new WNBA record.

Her final tallies: 27 points and 11 assists.

She broke a tie with Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty, who conceptually could catch back up in this record.

The Fever star also tied Courtney Vandersloot for the most 20-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history with 10.

Clark is so special that she had five 25-10 games in her rookie season alone. That tied the career mark in just 40 games.

And now, after 42 WNBA games, Clark holds this remarkable scoring-passing combo record.

Clark's rookie season was record-setting as a whole. She had more points and more assists than any WNBA rookie had ever had.

It's probably not her favorite achievement ever, though, because the Fever lost 91-90 on the way to this new accomplishment.
