The Chicago Bears are ready to return to the playoffs this season. While everyone thinks the offense is going to be the best area on the team, the defense is going to put up a fight.

Chicago has one of the best defenses in the NFL, some of which is due to defensive tackle Gervon Dexter Sr.

Dexter has been with the Bears for two years, and Matt Holder from Bleacher Report thinks he is the team's "best kept secret."

"Over the last two years, Dexter has become a quality interior pass-rusher with 7.5 sacks (five last season), 31 QB hits and three batted passes," Holder wrote." He also showed growth against the run, highlighted by four tackles for loss and 51 total tackles in 2024. Look for the Florida product to make a name for himself during his third season on Chicago’s defensive line.

Dexter will have to play a significant role this season, applying pressure and chasing the opposing team's quarterback.

If Dexter can control opposing offensive linemen, it will be a rough day for many teams when they face the Bears.

Dexter won't be alone on the defensive line. The team has one of the best pass rushers in the NFL, Montez Sweat, so the two should be able to stop opposing offenses this season.
