In Sam Amico's latest HoopsWire rumors report, he went into the possibility of the Wizards trading their sixth overall pick in this year's 2025 NBA Draft.

The Wizards have had a rough last few years and are looking to start trending back in the direction of being a playoff team.

What would the Wizards look for in a deal?

The Wizards have a high pick in what's considered a deep draft class, so it should have some good value if they choose to go and get a player.

It was said by Amico that they may trade up or down, so they likely want a better draft pick to get a top player, or trade out to get an established player for the roster.

Washington has added so many young players in recent years, so it may be time to add established players to the roster, as it's risky taking a chance on them and having to wait to develop year after year.

They also have the rights to the 18th pick in this year's draft, which can be packaged with the sixth overall pick for a good return.

Amico had one source telling him that the Wizards are "wildly young as is. At some point, you need to start winning games, ya know?"
