PDC/Taylor Lanning

Premier League Darts is off to Aberdeen for Night 15 this Thursday, May 15.

Placing for play-off qualifiers Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price can still change, leaving no time for players to take their foot off the gas.

Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall are neck and neck competing for fourth position as they will face off in this week's quarterfinal.

Night 15 match predictions

There's a lot on the line with just two nights of action left before the play-off at The O2 in London on Thursday, May 29.

Quarterfinal 1: Michael van Gerwen vs. Nathan Aspinall

Winner: Michael van Gerwen

If it wasn't for his poor percentage on doubles against Luke Littler last week, Aspinall would have won what was a manageable game for the most part. Van Gerwen has only missed the play-off night one time out of the twelve previous years as a participant, so I'd find it hard to see him not playing with some motivation this week.

Quarterfinal 2: Gerwyn Price vs. Stephen Bunting

Winner: Gerwyn Price

Price has an opportunity this week to secure a top-three place and avoid having to play Littler in the play-off semifinal, assuming Littler finishes first. Price has produced some good performances recently, and I expect nothing less against Stephen Bunting who is already eliminated from the play-off.

Quarterfinal 3: Chris Dobey vs. Rob Cross

Winner: Chris Dobey

Cross and Dobey have faced off very few times in this year's Premier League Darts campaign, with this week being just the third time they'll face off. Dobey has been the more consistent player over the last couple of weeks, while Cross has had back-to-back Premier League/European Tour matches with an average under 90.

Quarterfinal 4: Luke Littler vs. Luke Humphries

Winner: Luke Humphries

With an opportunity to make up ground on Littler, Humphries can guarantee a zero-point week from Littler while simultaneously advancing and picking up points. Humphries is fresh off a night win in Leeds where he beat Littler 6-5 in the final.

Semifinal 1: Michael van Gerwen vs. Gerwyn Price

Winner: Michael van Gerwen

MvG is one of two players with no night wins to this point. Price already has a spot in the table locked up, but the ferocity of van Gerwen should put him past one of the PDC's other emotional stars on the oche.

Semifinal 2: Chris Dobey vs. Luke Humphries

Winner: Luke Humphries

If Humphries can get past Littler, I can't imagine he will struggle against Chris Dobey. Dobey does have his nights where he can find a rhythm and pound treble 20, but I just don't see that happening, especially with Humphries having a chance to gain more ground on Littler for a chance at first place.

Final: Michael van Gerwen vs. Luke Humphries

Winner: Michael van Gerwen

MvG will finally (I think) grab his first nightly win of the year and be the final player to qualify for the play-off night. It should be a close one, as the two players just played a competitive semifinal on night 14.

Three storylines to watch during night 15

MVG vs. ASP

The two players with the highest chances of grabbing the last spot in the play-off can get points while also guaranteeing a zero-point night from their opponent. Who can come away with the big win during the first game of the night?

Late surge from Luke Humphries for first?

Will Humphries also capitalize on a chance to beat Littler who's currently in first, to try and make a run at first place over the last two nights?

Rob Cross magic?

Can the former world champion put together a run to the final on night 15 with hopes of other results going his way to give himself a shot at the play-off the following week?
