The 16th and final regular-season night of the 2025 Premier League Darts season is upon us, and all eyes will be on Michael van Gerwen as he looks to book an unlikely spot in the play-offs and compete for title.
The record seven-time champion heads to Sheffield sitting fifth in the table, and he must defeat fourth-placed Nathan Aspinall in the quarter-finals before going on to claim the nightly prize to overtake Aspinall and qualify for the May 29 O2 showpiece. Aspinall defeated MVG 6-3 last week in Aberdeen, so it is a huge ask for the Dutch legend.
Elsewhere, top three Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price will all look to build momentum ahead of the showdown in London, with their play-off places already secured.

Premier League Night 16 betting tips, prediction, odds and preview
Despite there only being the fight for the final spot in the play-offs on the line, there is still plenty of exciting action in store on Night 16 of the regular season. Here are our best bets and tips for Sheffield.
Night 16 outright winner — Luke Littler @ 11/8 (Paddy Power)
Littler is guaranteed to finish top of the regular-season table, and will be hoping to finish in style in the Steel City before defending his title next week in London.
The teenage sensation came unstuck against Chris Dobey last week in the semi-final, losing 6-5 despite having a higher average. However, he knocked out Humphries in the last eight, and that likely only added to his sky-high confidence.
The top two can only meet in the final this week, but there could be a showdown with a hungry MVG before that.
It should all make for a brilliant Night 16, and we're backing the Nuke to blow away the competition.

Best Bet — Michael van Gerwen to hit more 180s than Nathan Aspinall @ 2/1 (Betfair)
The Dutch legend faces a serious task just to make it to the O2 next week, needing to win in Sheffield to climb into the top four.
He'll have to be at his vintage best to pull off a run that will probably see him have to go through Littler and Humphries. First up, though, is Aspinall, who routed him last week and sits above him in the standings.
With so much on the line, MVG is likely to come out firing from the outset and you can bank on him hitting the maximum frequently.
