Just five of the eight national seeds remain in the NCAA men's lacrosse championships.

It's down to the quarterfinals where No. 1 Cornell, No. 2 Maryland and No. 3 Princeton will play for a chance to compete in the national semifinals. No. 5 Penn State and No. 6 Syracuse also advanced to this round.

The story of the 2025 tournament is Notre Dame. Although the Fighting Irish aren't ranked, they are still the back-to-back reigning champions. They defeated No. 4 Ohio State 15-6 in the first round and will play No. 5 Penn State in the quarterfinals.

There hasn't been a three-peat in NCAA men's Division I lacrosse since the late 1990s, when Princeton accomplished the feat. It'll be an uphill road for Notre Dame, but it is still alive.

Cornell owns the top seed and is looking to win its first title since 1977. The Big Red lost to Maryland in the 2022 final.

Maryland, on the other hand, is seeking its fourth championship appearance in five years. The Terrapins won the 2022 final but lost in both the 2021 and 2024 title matches.

The Sporting News has all the details on how to watch the NCAA men's lacrosse quarterfinals.
