The San Francisco Giants are off to a hot start in 2025. They are 24-14 and currently are in possession of the second National League Wild Card spot.
They signed Justin Verlander and Willy Adames last offseason, and while Adames hasn't lived up to the hype just yet, the team has performed well and could be pointed towards the postseason.
They could, however, use some help on the offensive side. At the trade deadline, they could find ways to boost their lineup.
Andrew Wright of Newsweek noted that the Baltimore Orioles might shop Ryan O'Hearn and that the Giants could be a fit.
"His average is first on the team and his seven home runs tie him with [Cedric] Mullins for the team lead. If he is made available, there are several teams who could use another left-handed bat in their lineup," Wright says. "The Red Sox, Giants, Reds and Rangers should all be interested in acquiring him."

O'Hearn has obviously shown off plenty of power so far this season, and that could make him an attractive asset at the deadline. In addition to his seven home runs, he is slashing .304/.379/.576 with 14 RBI and a .955 OPS.
He is also a free agent at the end of the season, so it would make sense for the Orioles to capitalize on his value while they still can.
The Giants would certainly benefit from having O'Hearn in their lineup for the stretch run if he can continue at this torrid pace.
They could use some more power, and if he is added to a lineup that consists of Adames and Matt Chapman, San Francisco could significantly improve their offense.
