The Texas Rangers have started to play better baseball in recent weeks. They have now won three consecutive games and reached the .500 mark at 21-21.

However, their offense has been a problem this year, and it has caused them to sink to the middle of the pack in the American League West. If they are in the hunt at the trade deadline, offense should be high on their priority list.

The Baltimore Orioles are likely sellers after a dreadful start to 2025, and one player that could be moved, according to Jon Morosi, is former All-Star Cedric Mullins.

Morosi notes that the Rangers, among several teams could be a fit.

"You think about the Phillies being a tremendous fit, I could even see a team like the Rangers being a possible fit for Cedric Mullins," Morosi said.

"There are very few teams in baseball for whom he would not be a good fit and not add something meaningful to their player contributions."

Mullins is hitting just .229 to start the season. However, he is slugging .435 with a .775 OPS and is tied for the Orioles team lead in home runs.

In addition to his All-Star appearance, he is a former Silver Slugger. But he would certainly give the Rangers a big boost on the offensive side. They need power in the middle of their order.

Mullins is a pending free agent, but he could be very vital to the Rangers potentially making a run back to the World Series after they finished 78-84 in 2024.

This could at the very least help them climb to the top of the AL West by the end of the year.
