On Tuesday, darts legend Phil "The Power" Taylor announced his official retirement from the sport.
Taylor is widely regarded as the GOAT of the sport and holds records that athletes in many other sports can't compete with.
Taylor's last PDC appearance was back in the 2018 World Championship Finals when he took on Rob Cross, who went on to win 7-2 in set play.

Taylor's one-of-a-kind career
Taylor has set a high standard with records that seem untouchable for now.
Taylor finished his career as a 16x World Champion (14 in PDC and 2 in WDF).
He also won the World Matchplay 16 times, which is regarded as one of the biggest major TV titles to win outside of the PDC WC.
Taylor has well over one hundred other titles accumulated throughout his career, that are listed on his Wikipedia.

Taylor produced 11 nine-dart finished in TV tournaments throughout his career.
He made history in the Premier League in 2010 against James Wade, becoming the first player to hit two nine-dart finishes in the same game.
Taylor has been active since retiring from the PDC tour after the 2018 championship, playing in several World Seniors tournaments over the past few years.
