It wasn't always easy, but Scottie Scheffler did more than enough to win the 107th PGA Championship on Sunday.
The world No. 1 entered the day up three on Alex Noren for the lead, but with the way he ended the third round, it was his to lose. However, Scheffler had his struggles on the day, as his driver was a little off and he couldn't gain more room over the field in the first nine.
The biggest competition to Scheffler was Jon Rahm, who was bogey free for most of the day and reached a tie for first place in the middle of the round. At one point, Rahm had the momentum while Scheffler was fighting to remain at the top.

However, Rahm got a little unlucky on the back before producing a five-over final three holes. That, combined with Scheffler's timely birdies, helped Scheffler gain enough space to take home the Wanamaker Trophy with ease with an 11-under.
Besides Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau tried to push Scheffler but never reached beyond 7-under. Other players like J.T. Poston and Matt Fitzpatrick had their highs on the day but struggled to close out the final three holes. In the end, Scheffler's five-shot margin was more than enough for the win.
This is Scheffler's third major and second unique major, as he previously won the Masters twice. He has now won a major in three of the last four years and continues to be the most dominant golfer in the sport.
