Armed Forces Day could be a mixed bag for horse racing.

There is no rain in the forecast for the 150th Preakness Stakes, but some severe thunderstorms on Friday night could make for sloppy track conditions at posting time.

Weather was an issue last year at the Preakness, with some showers right before the race causing the track to be downgraded to muddy. It looks like things won't be as bad — at least for patrons — this year.

The Weather Channel has a more optimistic outlook, forecasting mostly cloudy conditions for Friday night and lots of sun on Saturday.
