For 12 fortunate high school softball teams in Arkansas, the end of the rainbow is finally here.
By the end of this week, six of those teams will eventually grab the pot of gold.
The Arkansas Activities Association’s state softball championships take place Thursday through Saturday at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. All six games will be televised on Arkansas PBS, and can also be seen on the NFHS Network.
Thursday, the first state title will be awarded at 10 a.m. CT when Concord takes on Taylor for the Class 1A championship. Later that day, at 4 p.m., Sheridan squares off against Benton for the 5A title.
Then on Friday, Pea Ridge faces Bauxite at 1 p.m. for the Class 4A championship, followed at 7 p.m. with the 3A title game involving Mayflower and Harding Academy.
Saturday, the final two titles will be awarded. At 10 a.m., Hackett faces Riverside for the 2A championship, while at 4 p.m., Bentonville battles Springdale Har-Ber for the 6A title.
