Sunday, May 18 saw Night 6 of NJPW’s 32nd Best of the Super Juniors take place at the Esforta Arena Hachioji in Hachioji, Japan, the hometown of 4-time winner Hiromu Takahashi. It was the last show for a week at which all 20 wrestlers competed.

Nick Wayne d. Ryusuke Taguchi via pinfall in 6:46
Wayne and Taguchi will now both be off until Block B resumes on Thursday 22nd, when Wayne - 4 (Sho, Desperado, Eagles, Taguchi) and 1 (Knight) - will take on Taiji Ishimori, and Taguchi, now at 3 (Ishimori, Sho, Yoh) and 2 (Titán, Wayne) , will face Mao.

Block A returns to action on Tuesday 20th, with Ninja Mack - 2 (Robbie X, Kanemaru) and 3 (Akira, Kushida, Wato) - facing Hiromu Takahashi, and Kanemaru - 2 (Connors, Akira) and 3 (Dragon Dia, Robbie X, Ninja Mack) - takes on Kosei Fujita.

On the 22nd, Knight, now at 2 (Wayne, Titán) and 3 (Mao, Eagles, Yoh) takes on Sho, while the 3 (Taguchi, Mao, Ishimori) and 2 (Desperado, Knight) Titán goes 1-on-1 with Robbie Eagles.

Robbie X - 3 (Kushida, Kanemaru, Fujita) and 2 (Ninja Mack, Connors) - faces Master Wato on the 20th, and Fujita - 3 (Akira, Takahashi, Wato) and 2 (Kushida, Robbie X) - will take on Yoshinobu Kanemaru. 

Yoh d. Mao via pinfall in 8:11 
Yoh - 2 (Knight, Mao) and 3 (Eagles, Sho, Taguchi) - will face El Desperado on the 22nd. Mao - 2 (Knight, Ishimori) and 3 (Titán, Desperado, Yoh) - will go against Ryusuke Taguchi on the same day.

Kushida d. Dragon Dia via submission in 11:25
Kushida - 3 (Ninja Mack, Fujita, Dia) and 2 (Takahashi, Robbie X) - takes on Clark Connors on Tuesday 20th. On the same day, Dragon Dia - 3 (Kanemaru, Connors, Takahashi) and 2 (Wato, Kushida) - takes on Francesco Akira.

Ishimori’s  - 2 (Desperado, Eagles) and 3 (Taguchi, Mao, Titán) - opponent for the 22nd is Nick Wayne. Eagles, now at 2 (Yoh, Knight) and 3 (Wayne, Sho, Ishimori) faces Titán on the same night.

Master Wato d. Francesco Akira via pinfall in 12:10
Master Wato - 3 (Dragon Dia, Ninja Mack, Akira) and 2 (Connors, Fujita) - has Robbie X on the 20th. Akira - 2 (Ninja Mack, Takahashi) and 3 (Fujita, Kanemaru, Wato) - will take on Dragon Dia.

Desperado - 3 (Titán, Mao, Sho) and 2 (Wayne, Ishimori) - next faces Yoh on Thursday 22nd, the same night Sho - 3 (Yoh, Knight, Eagles) and 2 (Wayne, Desperado) - faces off with Kevin Knight.

Hiromu takes the win in his hometown, is now 2 (Kushida, Connors) and 3 (Fujita, Akira, Dia), and will face Ninja Mack on Tuesday. Connors at 2 (Wato, Robbie X) and 3 (Kanemaru, Dia, Takahashi) will face Kushida on that show.
