Thursday night in Aberdeen, Gerwyn Price gave the crowd a moment early in the night that they'll never forget.

Price pinned D12 for a 141 checkout to hit his fifth career Premier League Darts nine-dart finish.

As they usually do when one happens, the crowd of several thousand people roared as Price yelled his trademark "GWAN!" paired with a fist pump to celebrate completing the perfect leg.

Price's fifth career Premier League Darts nine-darter extends historic lead

Thursday night was the second nine-darter of this year's campaign for Price and the fifth from a player in this year's Premier League.

This was also Price's fifth in his Premier League Darts career, with all five coming since 2022.

Price went on to lose to Stephen Bunting who was already eliminated from play-off contention coming into the match.

Price had the mark before hitting his fifth, for most nine-darters in Premier League Darts history, with the legendary Phil Taylor in second place all-time with three nine-dart finishes.

The closest active player is Luke Littler, who has two career-perfect finishes, one coming this year, and the second being the iconic 2024 play-off final nine-dart finish he hit against Luke Humphries.

Even with three more than Littler currently, no lead is comfortable with how often we have seen Littler hit nine darters with just 18 months of experience on the big stage.

Littler, who's still a teenager, has plenty of time to close the gap on what would typically be a hard margin to overcome for most Premier League nine-darters by a single player.

Still, if anyone were to do it, the teenage sensation would be the one to get it done with the impressive start to his career that we've seen so far.
