Royals super prospect Jac Caglianone is moving on up.

The left-handed slugger is now just one step away from MLB.

The 22-year old who starred as a two-way player at the University of Florida was promoted to Triple-A on Sunday.

Caglianone was the No. 6 overall pick in last summer's draft and has skyrocketed through the minors.

In 38 games at Double-A this season, Caglianone hit nine home runs and eight doubles. He batted .322/.394/.553.

Caglianone has already played first base, right field and left field this season. He'll have many different paths to the Royals' MLB roster when they deem him ready.

It's very likely that Caglianone has a lot of success against Triple-A pitching, too. That'll put pressure on the Royals to make a call-up decision.

Through Sunday, the Royals are 26-22, which is 5.5 games off the AL Central-leading Tigers in a surprisingly strong division.

To keep up, they might need Caglianone sooner rather than later. The good news is he's almost there.
